Weather absolutely wonderful today – here’s a picture of the garden with all the gorgeous autumn colour in the Japanese acers.

 

it doesn’t do it justice, actually. It’s very orange and blood red, and that doesn’t really come over.

Gay fiction has entirely ruined me. I’m was watching Colditz and this gorgeous blond German was talking to a gorgeous blond English officer in his flat and he says “you can go into the bedroom and change your clothes.” And then he doesn’t molest him. This is so wrong. They should remake the series. And have  me write it. *evil chortle*

That looks gorgeous. Native British plants are so muted in comparison with the acers.

I know what you mean about the being ruined. I was watching Monarch of the Glen a couple of weeks ago and it was OBVIOUS to me that when Golly MacKenzie offered Andrew Booth, with his leather and motorbike, a bed for the night the couch was only one option. My 'slash goggles' are rudimentary so for me to notice it must have been blatant.

There's an episode of FRIENDS where Chandler and Joey are getting free porn on their cable and they can't stop watching it. They decide maybe they've watched too much when they realize that neither the copy shop girl nor the pizza delivery guy offered to have hot, meaningless sex with them when they met up that day.
(Of course, real goggles would've had Chandler and Joey making out....)
