Happy birthday [livejournal.com profile] angelstgabriel *kisses*

I'm going to have to pull a story from Clean Sheets. They accepted it MONTHS ago - can;t even find when - must be well over six months. They said it would go live in three. I emailed them after four and they said it would be a week or so - and since then, nothing. No story, no money, no email, no contact, nada.

So I'm going to try and resell it. bah.

Can I add my website email (erastes at erastes dot com) to my outlook express? I'm sure it must be simple, if i know my password (which I do) my log in (check) and my stmp and pop3 (which I don't) where would I get them from - my webhost? eta Sorted! Thanks [livejournal.com profile] eledhwenlin!!

I've just finished chapter 9 of Junction X and they just kissed. *sigh*

Of course, you can add your website email. Your pop3 server has to be declared somewhere in your website stats (I would imagine it to be something like mail.erastes.com).

If you already have an SMTP server defined (if you're using Outlook already for another email addy), then you don't need to define another one.

And I would recommend using Thunderbird just for random reasons. It's safer than Outlook and cooler because it's free and not owned by Microsoft. ;)

You might try Fishnet www.fishnetmag.com. Their fiction is generally very well written and *very* hot. Also, they pay well.

I chased once, and got an answer as above, and then i chased again and had no reply at all. I'll give them one more chance, I guess. I thought it was so strange as they were so enthusiastic and said they would get an editor to work with me asap.

I'll check out lust bites too! thanks!

Chapter 9

Note that my experience of Fishnet is that the first time I submitted, I got a response within a couple of weeks, the next time it was several months, and the third time is several months *so* *far*.

Good markets tend to get rapidly flooded and become less good markets as far as response times are concerned. :-(

The Clean Sheets thing is weird because as I recall you submitted just after I did, and I got the "want, grab, tell your friends we want more!" response.
