BUGGRIT

So, I've finished chapter 15 and I'm happy with that little glow of accomplishment. Then today I set out on the unsure path of chapter 16. It's New Year 1963 so I just nip off to Wikipedia to see if I can see any events were interesting enough for MC to mention. And... I find that "the big freeze of 1963" was pretty famous. Hmm.

That's flipping annoying. Now I have to rewrite the Christmas and New Year of 1962... Just as well I looked. Someone would have noticed.

In other news - it's sooooo reassuring when you get an email from a service provider to whom you have sent the same plans to three times because they say they havent received them which says:

"We have defiantly not recieved your plans."

Ah ha! Defy me will you, my pretty? *twirls moustache*

I'd have noticed - I remember that winter. I tell my kids about it. They treat me as if I've dreamed it.

There's something wonderful about bad English. I remember an article about lettuces being eaten by vociferous slugs.

Nice to know there is someone older than me.

:)

"Nice Lettuce this."
"Yes! isn't it?"
"I love lettuce"
"Me too."
"So green"
"And crisp"
"and leafy"
"oh, yes, leafy, no doubt about that, leafy."
"very leafy"
"crisp green and leafy
"i couldn't have put it better myself."

"will you two just SHUT UP? i can't hear myself eat!"

Pfft! I scorn you youngsters. I'm 49 and proud of it.

Your slugs seem rather refined. I rather imagined them as singing football songs and insulting ladybirds
"Ere, Spotty, been too long in the sun?"
"Yeah - who's been eating all the Coz?"

Yes, they are rather "Last of the Summer Lettuce" kind of slugs.
