I would be really proud to come second to J.L. who is a terrific writer - there is no shame in being second :) Plus there are really cute bridesmaid dresses today in wonderful shades of mauve tee, hee, hee. Your silver medal is on its way :) Congratulations
I know, I know - but I so often come second in life - I sang for years when I was younger and constantly came second to this girl in my town. Drove me mad. Who knew i was so competitive! :D
Don't know yet, no word about for AGES.... Will shout when I know though!
Not on the American one right now, I've slipped right down. but yay! I should be more celebratory. I'd just like ONE screenshot of being number one. Just once!
The canadians love me. I love them. I always wanted to move there, somewhere remote where the men outnumber the women 10 to 1 (although knowing my luck they'd all be gay lumberjacks or something)
I know, the dragons are a sickness. It's just a phase, I'll grow out of it.
*fuming with jealously* Speaking of that @%#*! Tin Star, I was curious just how many books JL Langley was selling on Amazon. I recently did a calculation using these two tools: http://www.titlez.com http://www.fonerbooks.com/surfing.htm and discovered that with all of her books combined she sold approximately 1600 books in the last three months. That’s only her paper-book sales from Amazon, I can’t even imagine what her ebooks are doing. In contrast, I sold less than 40 books in the last 3 months. Go figure!
Wow - that's clever! I didn't know of the second of those links!
This is amazon.co.uk though, so the figures are much much lower. I think part of the way to success is to have lots of books out there, if I had 10 standishes, I could actually live on my earnings.
Now I'm going to be checking Amazon every hour to see if I can get you a screenshot of Standish at number one. If I had the money to buy copies for my ex-boyfriends that would probably push you over, but alack. You know what? Because you helped me yesterday, and I won't be in England anytime soon to buy you lunch, I'll buy myself a copy. There. I'm useful, and I'll get a nice, new book out of it, too. :-)
Aw - thanks! This was the Amazon.co.uk screenshot, but you've obviously made a difference, because it's number 2 in the USA one now! What a difference one sale makes!
