Well, I tried!

Went over to Dad’s today—didn’t take the laptop, because I knew I wasn’t up to that, but got over there. But it was a mistake, couldn’t walk more than a few steps without wheezing like a train and all I could do was lie there and cough my weasly black guts up. so Dad, sensibly, sent me home.

I’ll see how I feel tomorrow. Sick of being sick.

On a bright front, though, my eyes are pretty much better.  Not 100 percent, as I still have to make an effort of will to get them to focus together, but there’s very little double vision remaining. now, if only I knew what CAUSED it, I could try and prevent it happening again. Still no results regarding the diabetes OR the echo scan I had a MONTH ago.  I had the stupidest conversation with the hospital when I rang last week to chase the results:

“I’m ring to find out the results of my scan”

“Well, if there was nothing wrong, there would be no results.”

I was rather bemused at this. so, on this basis, if they tested for cancer and there was no cancer, they simply wouldn’t let the patient know about it. Talk about no news is good news. Perhaps this is their new motto?

Adopt one today! - Adopt one today! - Adopt one today! - Adopt one today!

Feel better soon!

So glad to hear the double vision is correcting itself.

And I guess no news is good news, but sheesh! What about all the waiting anxiety?

Thank you my dear! The chest infection really knocked me for six - I feel fine when sitting down but when I start doing anything, like walking around the room or climbing stairs I'm just floored and it takes ages to get my strength back! horrid.

It was a very stupid person who I spoke to, and I STILL haven't heard anything about the results, I'll chase it up again tomorrow. gah.

I think someone needs to re-take their GCSEs...

...or at least look up "result" in a dictionary!

"... if they tested for cancer and there was no cancer, they simply wouldn’t let the patient know about it."

Or if the patient did have cancer, but they misplaced the scan/report/patient's chart, they wouldn't let the patient know about it either.

No news does not equal good news when it comes to medical tests. Only good news is good news.
