I'm back. I feel like a swallowed a BRICK. I ate far too much. Shouldn'a had a starter. (salad with oysters, prawns, smoked salmon and two other unidentifiable fishie things) and couldn't finish my steak and kidney pud (which is the size of the Taj Mahal). I don't think one is allowed to eat oysters in May. *waits to die*
There's a divinely slashy film on right now on Film4. "Storm over the Nile" (a version of the Four Feathers) with the sumptuous Laurence Harvey and the gorgeous Anthony Steel (hope they get their shirts off) I haven't seen this version.
Wonderfully slashy dialogue
"There's something soft about the boy. Something not right. Reads Poetry. I want you to help me lick him into shape. Make him hard."
Bwahahhahaha!! Sometimes I don't NEED slash goggles.
Read The Doll's House, Sandman II yesterday. Boy - some of it was very hard to read, specially the Cereal Convention. Possibly because it was too real, which is always more scary than the fantastical. I'm still very fond of Dream, I loathe Desire, but it's not her fault, I suppose. The ring thing confused me, I thought it was important in some way, and it wasn't. Or maybe it will be. I don't know. Loved Gilbert, in fact I loved everyone in that house.
I adored the historical section too. Obviously.
The silly library gave me 2 and 4, number 3 isn't in yet. What's the point of that!!? Irritating.
