argh!

I have some sort of strange disease, it's sort of like The Midas Touch but gay. What I touch turns gay! This bodes well for Pirates - TOMORROW!!

*cough*

Anyway - I'm at the library a couple of weeks ago and I pick up a book with a pair of angels wings on the cover called The Vitner's Luck

and I read the recs from such worthies as the Guardian and The Times. I have a mild flush of envy (always happens) but get the book anyway, even though the blurb doesn't grab me much .

But it's now turned slashy. And not just slashy, actually gay.

I'm a gay magnet. Or I warp the universe. Or something. But yay! Literature, improving reading AND slashy angels! W00T! I win!

ETA: I've discovered that there's nothing as random as chance. When I started compiling my Big Gay List of m/m historical fiction [livejournal.com profile] katjak recommended Vintner's Luck back then, so THAT'S why I "randomly" pulled it off the shelf after just seeing the title. My subconcious remembered that it was a slashy book. *hugs my subconcious*!!!

Well, I've been told more or less that for some years after 5 of my close friends turned into lesbians, bisexual or bi-curious... it was suspected to be my fault XD

Erastes -- apropos of nothing, I wondered if I might ask your advice on a project. Would you mind if I e-mailed you?

I believe it. And we've had

1. Jack and Elizabeth kiss
2. Will and Elizabeth kiss
3. Only one kiss left, baby!

I was almost certain you'd like the book... It does take some unexpected turns though, maybe you'll change your mind yet ;-) But it was a very good read for me. I read it right after or before (can't recall which) As Meat Loves Salt. I was very happy back then.
