Jun. 1st, 2007 02:59 pmAnyone got a spare billion they can lend me? I read yesterday that they were building Potterland in Orlando (but really... American Potterdom???? Hi, guys! I'm Harry Potter. My favorite food is French Fries and I think custard creams are candy - have a nice day, now!" He'll probably sound like Dick Van Dyke. "I think magic is luvverly."
Blerghk.
But it reminds me that I'd love to start a Discworld World over here, I've always thought it would be a brilliant idea. Gehayi and I came up with the following amongst others but there would be loads of other things to do - no magic required either, as the wizards don't like to do it, and Rincewind would just be running away (not to) all the time and having useless finger wiggles when he wasn't.
- Join the watch and patrol with Nobby and Colon
- Exploding dragons
- Buy a photo album called "what I did on my holidays"
- Buy a stuffed dragon for your shoulder, poops regularly down your back!
- Authentic eateries - Gimlet's (sos, egg, beans, rat, ketchup) Klatchian curry House, Dibbler's (est. since (what time is it now?) Sausage inna bun made from pig parts.
- Negotiate for some affection!
- Tour Death's house
- Tour the Patrician's dungeons, see the Scorpion Pit and understand why there are no mime artists in Ankh-Morpork.
- *sings* aaaand many morrrrrre...
So please - give us a billion? Pleeeze?
Btw. I say I say I say, how much will the entrance fee to Potterland be? Ten Quid Each! Gettit?
