What possessed Mr Gaiman to leave his blog in the hands of his 13 year old daughter?  I trust it is being checked by an adult?  I'm going to defriend the feed for the duration, I'm afraid, I don't have any under age kids on my flist and I'm not starting now. Over excited and huge pic posts and BIG FONT IN DIFFERENT colours is not at all what I joined that particular blog for, actually. Ick.

So: Less than a month and it's all over, Potterwise.  I know there's not as many of you here as there used to be when I was Underlucius but...

Let's have a fun - no prizes.

What's the last sentence? Ends with Scar? or not?  Mine is "Harry sighed with relief, crossed the road and was mown down by Lucius' car."

Harry? Dead or Alive? Voldemort dead or alive? Lucius? Ruling the world or not?

Theories please? (No spoilers you may have heard, as I'll cry) Let's just go nuts huh?

This made me giggle like a loon think very seriously.  And you know what? something very similar happened to ME!  I was imbibing the other night, from about 7pm till midnight and as I stood up I was struck down - made paralysed from the waist down and fell to the floor like a brick.  I lay staring at the ceiling and my vision blurred and darkened and I thought I was either going blind or dying.  So I prayed - I think my words were "Oh my God. Wurble wurble schlup" but even though I spoke in tongues, God still heard me for he made me sleep. And when I woke - I was cured!!!! Praise be!  I still have the brain tumour though, coz my head is killing me....

I think Voldie and Harry mutually destroy each other IN A CAPSLOCK BATTLE OF DOOM YOU KILLED MY FATHER PREPARE TO DIE way, and good riddance. Severus, hero of the hour, sweeps in to claim Remus, after whom he's always secretly lusted, and they inherit all Dumbledore's money and move to someplace warm and tropical.

I know, I know... but I can dream, can't I?

There was a thing going round last year sometime to write the last sentence of the book. Mine was something about "Snape lurked in the background, cursing silently, as Alan Rickman lifted what should have been his Oscar."

Always a warm glow when you are here, as I consider you a Snupin God.

Yes!

Poor, darling Lupin - for all my bias to Lucius, whatever happens, I really really want Remus to be happy, and not with stupid Tonks - although... at least she can imitate anyone..

Awww!!!! *HUGS* Thank you, honey, that means SO much to me! You've definitely made my day! :D

Oh, I have HATED Tonks since the minute she showed up, no kidding, and the thought of her with Remus seriously makes me ill. He's SO GAY, and I would really be upset if JKR made him straight. :(

And yes, must think good thoughts for Lucius. He's SUCH a bastard, but the kind you sneakily just have to love. ;)

*is howling about Lucius' car*

I'm still waiting for an explanation about what mark Jack Sparrow left on Beckett -- I want to hear about THAT scar.

I'm sure someone has come up with a better Madagascar line than I am coming up with now...

I'm very happy you feel the same way over Tonks. I've missed bitching about her - but really, losing your powers over unrequited love? Puhleeze. I am quite looking forward into having a few months fandom discussion until I put it aside for good.

If I could wish anything for the saga, if I had to sacrifice Lucius' life - I would ask that jkr would give us the admision that Remus and Sirus were an item - or out him gently in a dozen other ways. It wouldn't be unusual - and as I've said many times - how is murder more acceptable than homosexuality?

It would be a brave and assertive thing for her to do. I don't think she WILL. But I live in hope.

I dare say my boy will die, but again, I can hope for that, too...

I have no idea, but I'm hoping something about "and all that was left of Harry was his scar." With some nice things about Draco, Narcissa, and Lucius sneering/looking on. Sigh. One can dream.

Oh. Not to be reading my blog post for today (though I admit God hasn't healed me) if you don't like the churchy stuffs.

What's up with Neil Gaiman's blog???

Hah, I remember you from when you were underlucius. This makes me feel old and wise - I like it.

I've actually tried to avoid theorizing about Book 7 because I want to try and keep it as remarkable as possible. That said, I can only hope Nagini becomes Dr. Who's latest Companion and they go off to save the world from the Daleks. Also, Hermione needs to get laid. And Draco needs to write a self help book entitled "Coping with Cockteases: My Life As a Child Deatheater and Porn Star"

Yes indeed.

If I were writing Book 7...

Harry would die in the first sentence of the first chapter of the book of something pointless like complications from chicken pox.

Ron would decide that he didn't need to be with a girl who wounded him with psychotic canaries, and that he'd rather be with Luna, who made him smile.

Hermione would get some serious lessons about the consequences of hurting people (such as Umbridge and Ron) just because you could.

Ginny would discover that her mother had been trying to boost her confidence and had put love potion in her perfume. Also, she would realise that having a crush on a boy since she was ten was NOT the same thing as the love of two adults.

Luna's weird comments about strange animals would prove to be useful and accurate.

Sirius would be alive.

So would Regulus. And he would have all the sense that his brother lacked.

The Veil would be a Portkey.

Remus would be gay and in love with Sirius, and vice versa.

Tonks would be yet another victim of Molly Weasley's infernal desire to make people happy via love potion. In reality, she would be a lesbian, living in London with her fellow Order member and lover, Hestia Jones.

Kreacher would die. Horribly. So would Grawp.

Dobby would be revealed to be a double agent working for Narcissa, and not a free elf at all.

Lucius would be on the wizarding Riviera with Snape, his lover.

Draco would be killed by friendly wand fire from Bellatrix, and would die unrepentant to the last.

Peter would save Remus and a bunch of the kids fighting Voldemort from Fenrir Greyback by means of his silver hand. Everyone would think he was dead. He'd accept this and go on to rebuild a new life for himself in Southern California.

Voldemort would be intelligent, paranoid and terrifyingly dangerous. He would also have read the Evil Overlord's list.

The Horcruxes would not be in England. At least one would be in Antarctica. Another would be in outer space. One would be in the depths of the ocean. And so on.

The prophecy, which had determined so many people's behaviour toward Harry, would end up referring to multiple people, including Neville, Dean Thomas, the Patil twins and Regulus Black.

The other members of the wizarding world would have to get off their collective arses and fight for themselves rather than waiting for a handful of children to do it for them.

The wizarding world would also recognize that things would have to change to prevent another Dark Lord from arising in another thirty years or so.

Muggles would participate in the battle against Voldemort. Some would freak out; others would not. There would be no mention of witch burning.

The justice system would get a complete overhaul. The soul-destroying Dementor's Kiss would be banned as illegal and immoral.

Everyone would learn that Dumbledore had been wrong about almost everything.

And if I decided not to kill off Harry immediately, I would have the Power of Love which defeats Voldemort be a Care Bear Stare.

The 'American' ending...

Last lines:

"Well, that's done," said Random Death Eater 1. "Whoever would have predicted that Potter was a Horcrux?"

"Just half of fandom, you daft git," answered Random Death Eater 2. "Everyone who was anyone knew that Potter would have to kill himself to take out the Boss."

"That's as may be, but I'll bet nobody predicted he'd do it by throwing himself into the track of them whossits, those race things the Yanks are always watching with the motor cars going round and round, faster than Victor Krum, aren't they? Smashed him flat as a pancake."

"I like pancakes. A Potter pancake, done in by NASCAR."

I'd love Lucius to be left standing - as Gehayi says in her comment, it needs to be left obvious that in such an imperfect world as JKR writes it's fairly obvious that someone will be stepping into VM's shoes at some point and who better to do that than a Malfoy!?

100 percent agree with ALL of them, specially the bit about Ron - although he doesn't deserve Luna.

I wish I could put my care bear voldemort icon on comments from work.

Oh, he wouldn't GET Luna. He would just develop an interest in Luna. Luna would treat him as a very nice male friend and blithely go on her way, being close to Ron without dating him.

Though--and this is all [livejournal.com profile] thistlerose's fault--the relationship would definitely take a few blows when Luna started going with Ginny.

Addendum: Lucius, who has somehow managed to survive the final battle and is found to be innocent of all charges--"I was under the Imperius, I swear! And let me make a small contribution to your political campaign"--follows Severus and the half-breed to their tropical getaway.

He tries, and fails, to woo Severus back to his bed. He's still got the looks and the charm, but Severus has had enough of all that goes with it.
