Oh My God.

I've actually finished the blasted novel. The last section was possibly the hardest 1000 words I've ever written in my entire life. Two years 68922 words one shattered heart.

It needs a lot of work still, but I'm going to put it away, and get on with other stuff, then come back and look at it later.

And the GOOD news for all you non-angst hounds - this means I can get Fleury out of his box soon and play with him! Hurrah!

1st June in ebook, about six weeks? after that in print form, and yes, it's an American Publisher so available all over the place, online at least.

I have to go on (I was busy when I left previous comment, sigh) -- to say yay you for the finishing of this book. I remember when you started it, and I have to say you rock for persevering through all the life and death stuff that has happened to you since then. I wish I had your guts.

I'm terrible. all the way back in the car I was thinking "I rushed that section, it's rushed, I need to rejig it" but you are right. I'm going to leave it alone. The gaps are filled, whether I elaborate on them later, is another matter.

Thank you. I did it for her. It was her story, told to me a few years ago, and although it related to neighbours of ours, I hadn't heard it before. I've had to make up most of it, supposition etc but I think she'd be proud of it.
