What the BBC and the Met office said:

No Snow.

What's actually happened:

Snow all day yesterday – snow all day today. (Not settling – it’s too wet)

I’m trying to find Prussian names that readers can PRONOUNCE—and it’s not fun. Too many zeds.

I read something quite horrible this morning. Weak plot, terrible sex, awful characterisation, no history to speak of.  I think I need to re-read something nice to bleach my brain.  I’m so glad that there are more good gay historicals being written than otherwise or I’d shoot myself if I had to read stories of that standard daily.*makes face*

the bbc chap that does the weather in the evening I am convinced is a vampire, not that i can remember his name
he always wears a nasty grey suit, looks like he hasn't seen sunlight in thirty years AND only appears at night - the fact that he looks like a vampire doesn't hurt either

therefore i cannot trust a word he says, not that i hear it too busy going He's a vampire, he's like a pasty count von count

see! vampire

Well I hope your husband didn't wank in his mother's bedroom - the character in this book is introduced to us doing just that which is enough to make the hairs on my ew gland stand up.

LOL! Don't know, don't want to know. But honestly... I wouldn't have put it past him.

Yak, instant squick. Good way to introduce a character - if the writer wants readers to think of him as "the wanker" for the rest of the book that is.

*giggles * I love the icon.

He starts badly and gets no better. Unforgiveable in a novel imho.

Aaargh the teeth! Blinding!

Note to people thinking of getting your teeth whitened - don't, unless the rest of your face can live up to them.
