OK – cut because I’m sure some of you are bored with the Doctor and because I don’t want to spoil anyone.

Highly enjoyable! I loved:

1. The Tiggers love best.... bit with the food.

2. “You’re Scottish, fry something!”

3. The duck pond scene.

4. Doctor getting righteous and quoting the Shadow Proclamation

5. The Post Office line.

6. The guy with the laptop (I’m a bit confused as to who he was, I need to watch it again.)

I quite like Amy – I rather wish he’d kidnapped Amelia, to be honest, but that would be BAD I suppose… I was boggling at her outfit and thought she looked like a stripper, and was wondering if that’s what police women really wore these days. LOL. I hope to GOD they keep the relationship crap to ZERO because I’m sick to death of that.  When oh when are they going to have a full-time male companion? Why can’t they have more than one? They always used to.

Matt Smith rocks, definitely.

I’m not won over by the new Tardis decoration yet though. It will have to grow on me.  I’m looking forward to seeing other rooms though.

New Jonathan Creek tonight too!  I am a happy geek.

Adopt one today! - Adopt one today! - Adopt one today!

Yeah, I've been rolling my eyes at those photos of her skirt in publicity stills for months now. I guess the joke's on us.

I just watched Jonathan Creek after the BBC3 repeat of Who and had a bit of a fannish Squee! moment when Paul McGann appeared! :D It warms my heart when he appears in those montage sequences 'cos he was a great Doctor, pity the film was so dreadful. Sigh.

Oh, the new Doc is fabulous, definitely! I was worried he'd be way too young to pull it off, but he is actually a bit of a young fogey, isn't he?
And so much what you said about Amy. And the “You’re Scottish, fry something!” line. :D

Sadly, JC was not quite such a joyous experience. :(

I agree about JC - I mean he didn't solve anything at bloody all, really!! Just bumble about until someone tells you the details is NOT what he's supposed to do!!

It was nice to see McGann - he seems to be so underused on TV and I think he's definitely the best actor of the family.

I must admit to having some worries. Wouldn't he be too young, etc., but he was all right.
Think he has to grow on me a bit still but hey, for a first episode it was highly enjoyable.
The duck pond scene was hilarious, imho, but to be honest - I'm getting a bit tired of those female companions. When she joined him, I was 'Oh no, here we go again!"
Agree about the inside of the Tardis and yes, am looking forward to future episodes. The previews were most promising. Ah, they're introducing the stone angels again! Loved them! They really freaked me out!

I love my Doctor Who fun and silly, so this really hit the spot. Made a pleasant change from the last year's offerings which became very glum, despite the glorious David Tennant.

And I loved the food bit too. I've been a bit puzzled as to why so many fans have said that was too childish. I've always been under the impression that Doctor Who was a kids' show - just one that happened to appeal to adults too.

it makes sense to me - and it's a nice "extra thing learned" to the character - if you've got all new taste buds - he knows the drill - just because you liked Yoghurt and apples last time, doesn't mean you're going to like them this time around!
