Yesterday - I heard a chirping in Dad’s garden I didn’t recognise and eventually two very baby thrushes – still with whispy fluff on their heads – made an appearance!  SO SWEEET!  i never saw the mother (I have seen a thrush in Dad’s garden before last week) but I’m sure she was around. Very happy to see thrush babies. Hope they make a comeback.

Today I start The New Project of DOOM which is so secret I can’t even talk about it. It’s not secret for any special reason, like a publisher lurking waiting for it, (although RP get first refusal as per my contract with them) but just my worry that people who write ten times faster than me would be able to get the same theme out before i’d finished chapter three!!

I’ll keep you posted though—otherwise this journal is going to get very dull (er) very fast. I should be able to share frustrations and excerpts without giving too much of the idea away.

I still need to tidy up Muffled Drum too. I was supposed to do that over the weekend, but – well – I didn’t. I stayed away from the keyboard, played games, watched the birds and spent time with the moggs.

must go! *whoosh*  - I get my Internet Dongle on the 16th thank the wifi Gods, so connection at Dad’s should be reliable after that.

Adopt one today!Adopt one today! - Adopt one today! - Adopt one today!

You're very wise to be secretive - someone's going to come a cropper one day, sharing plots before they're finished/contracted.

If you'd like MD Prussian-betaed before you turn it in (and have time left for it), I have time & will make sure I do it speedily. It would just have to be general ideas, names etc. feeling wrong and so on, anyway.

I've yet to get pics of the baby Goldies being fed on the shed seed feeder but here's a cheeky Colin pic. Don't they know the window seed feeder is for little birds, lol? I haven't seen the thrush for over a week. Maybe she's sitting in the nest all day?

i know - it's irritating. But I do like to talk about writing, but I find that in this case I can't. It was ok to talk about the Happy Hussars, but - who in their right mind was going to do an Austro-Prussian war book? - but this is something that ...well, anyone might do. Sorry!

Nod nod. I haven't even been able to talk about Mere Mortals yet as I haven't had a contract signed for it.

The Greenies love the sunflower hearts. They are getting brave now and coming up to the window just this last week. The feeder was free from RSPB when we joined.
