OMG!  How is it that I'm always the last person in the world to see these things?

I laughed myself sick.  The "we will rock you" beginning was just brilliant.  I had no pre-conceptions and seriously thought it was going to be a sensible jousting coming of age story and was chucked into some mad world!  After I picked up my jaw from the floor I relaxed and just let myself go with it.

Absolutely briliant stuff.  What a great cast, too!  Alan Tudyk was absolutely brilliant, and strangely a lot taller than I'd seen him as in Firefly - perhaps that is because Zoe was so tall?  I loathed the bimbo Shannyn Sossamon and ok - other huge costuming innaccuries aside - what WAS she wearing?  At the first joust scene where she was talking to Sewell she seemed to be dressed as Audrey Hepburn.  Best I just imagine that it was an alternative earth history and leave it at that.

Anyway, really loved it.  How could I not with Rufus Sewell AND James Purefoy?  Someone needs to make a slashy programme with those two as lovers.  Now, please.

I love that film, it's so obviously tongue-in-cheek. I saw it on telly and had to buy it for the sheer good fun I got from watching it. It's almost like watching the Ashes series if it was on horseback and they had lances and lists instead of cricket bats and wicketts!

Yeah, the We Will Rock You at the beginnin gwas pretty cracktastic XD. This whole film was on crack IMO. I agree with you that Shannyn Sossamon's character was useless and sucky. XD

My brother suspects in at least one scene that a porcupine must have crawled up on Shannyn Sossamon's head and died, but overall, yeah, it's such a fun movie. :) And Rufus Sewell=yum.
