Day Two in the Hide Out
Mar. 17th, 2011 12:54 pmOk – a few of you did point out that I couldn't possibly have Sekrit Evil Base ™ under the Arctic because there's no land mass, but seriously did you think I'm as dim as The Evil Overlord and am going to TELL people where the Sekrit Evil Base ™ is actually located? Torture as many Bothans as you like, you ain't finding out.
But the move went well. There was a small hiccup because Dad had forgotten which box he'd packed the laser cannon immobiliser key, but I eventually found it in a crate of towels and every curtain Mother had ever owned since 1973. The women could throw nothing away. Some of the more garish ones might do, though.
Afternoon was spent unpacking. The furniture is going to have to go. Somehow wooden armchairs with green leather cushions look a little incongruous in sterile white decor. Also the piranhas splash a lot which isn't good for leather. Cats have decided that "Teasing The Piranhas" is the Jeux de Jour (it's so much more sinister in French) and sit with their faces squashed up against the glass tank and I swear they are laughing. Must count piranhas. And cats. Don't wish to lose any of either.
Dad has been banned from the weapons facility, as I've found that even putting DO NOT PRESS THIS BUTTON doesn't actually work, because he moves the sign and then the point of said sign is rather pointless. Until the minions get here it's not safe to keep letting him wander in there, remove the sign and press buttons. Thank goodness they aren't actually connected until Physics and maths expert arrives.
Talking of minions, I think they might object to the uniforms, but then minions don't get opinions. Or much uniform, apparently.
Had Words with Tesco. Seems they don't deliver everywhere.
