if you have a boat you have to discourse with people. helicopter can drop the stuff and not land.

Not if they simply leave things at the dock, and pick up the payment. Plus, that's what the strapping houseman/butler is for: public discourse, private...protection.

That image reminds me of Lochranza Castle, at the northern tip of Arran, Scotland. Lochranza was one of the main inspirations for Herge's Tintin story "The Black Island".

I like that, although I still really want to live in the Hunting Tower at Chatsworth. If we rented it for my 42nd birthday, how long do you think we could hold out afterwards before they managed to evict us?

That would do us perfectly too...just so long as the takeaway/alcohol delivery man had a helicopter licence too, lol! Failing that, we'd have St John's church converted.
