Well, I missed Sunday's version so was happy I managed to see the repeat.
I loved the storyline, it was a simple idea, but it opened a whole can of worms which (if the "next week's teaser has anything to say) will affect the continuing plot line....
The relationships were really fascinating, not so much Owen's!!! but Jack and John's was very interesting indeed, and also Gwen and whatever the girl's name was.
What I find very interesting is that in every episode we see more and more that the way Jack copes with things and the way Jack DEALS with things, is diametrically opposite to how the Doctor would deal with things. This is not a surprise I suppose, we saw from the first episode of DW with Jack in that Jack doesn't think the same way as the Doctor, and why should he? But it's still very interesting, here are two men who are helping to save the world, two men out of their time, and yet ... they don't do things at all the same. What Jack did for John was terrible - terrible and beautiful and not what the Doctor would have done. It broke me in pieces.
What the girl decided to do was completely plausible, she was the youngest and it's just what she would want to do. Owen's bird (again, forgotten her name) her decision made a lot of sense, if she was INSANE, and found it rather unrealistic and fairy tale. But. ah well, it was plausible.
Loved it, all the same. even if Ianto and Toshi got shortchanged AGAIN!
