Come on, don't be predictable - go for it!

I got home tonight around 7, slumped onto the settee and as I was turning on the laptop the moggies all arrived from upstairs...

1. Lili always in the lead - yelling in case I hadn't spotted her.

2. Lucius - elegantly, polishing his monocle and flopping languidly, all lines and angles onto the rug.

3. Severus - rushing in and turning the printer on, because it makes him laugh, and he's just learned to do it.

4. Beautiful shiny tabby tom. A complete stranger to me.

bwha? None of the others turned a whisker, he'd obviously been upstairs shooting the breeze with them all, sharing potions recipes and lying in the sunshine. No-one admitted giving him an invitation but he wasn't at all phased by me, he just wandered through the living room into the kitchen, miaowing and slid out of the cat flap. So he's Riddle. I won't be encouraging him in, of course but if he wants to come in out of the rain and hang around with the Slythies, who am I to stop him?

OK - PIRATES! OK. It wasnt' as good as the first film. That film is as perfect a piece of cinematography as it is possible to get and NOTHING was ever going to top it, but it was better than the second film - which I also really liked, so it was between really good and Grrrrreat! But there was a LOT to like. First of all, it completely blows the "this is Disney, this is SAFE" out of the water from the very first scene and after that went past I just knew that nothing was impossible - in a real GRRM way.

THEY HANGED A CHILD! I mean - OMG. They were hanging all the populace and then the little pretty child arrived on the scaffold and I thought, "oh well, there are rules for this sort of thing, children don't die - not in 12a films at least!!!!"

Wrong! So much else to love.

What I wasn't so mad on - Kiera getting SO MUCH of the plot and Will being completely sidelined, her Braveheart speech was completely dull and if I'd been on the ship I'd have gone.. "whatever" But of course, there was no-one else to make a speech like that, Jack wouldn't have, no-one could have.

I loved the situation we were left with with Liz and Will, it was perfect. However - as much as the Bitch Swann deserved the curse - Will did NOT - as far as I can remember he did nothing to deserve it - I know it saved his life an' all, but it wasn't fair on him, it really wasn't.

So, anyway, off to see it again next week - and probably the week after too!
