Worse still is people who have some sort of animal or graphic created with asterisks and brackets, etc. That was really impressive back in the day of DOS, but...

And no one ever cuts anything when they forward messages, which is a total pain for those of us who prefer to receive our groups mail on digest. Grrr!

Yes. That's second grump of the day. I get "Joyfully reviewed on digest" and sometimes I just get the same HUGE post over and over again with just one word added to it....

And when you start shouting about trimming the bloody quotes, they stare at you as if you're mad. Because their software folds it away behind a tiny "show quoted text" tag, so they literally can't see what you're talking about, If you cut-n-paste it without the stuff that lets their software do that, so that they can *see* what they're inflicting on others, the response is "why don't you get some real software"...
