Dec. 19th, 2006 12:53 pmWell whaddya expect if Mummy & Daddy have a publishing house?
Eragon the Movie is crap. Well colour me not-surprised. I shall not be wasting the well-earned Erastes pound on the film, that's for sure. I've been told the acting leaves Radcliffe looking like a Rada graduate.
Vile weekend. My electricity went off on Sunday afternoon and I couldn't get it back until Monday midday, and it would have to be the coldest night of the year so far, with thick hoar frosts and a quarter of an inch of ice in the bird bath.... I spent all the weekend over at mother's house and the Sunday and Monday in bed waiting for the leccy to come back on. I didn't bother with work.
I didn't see Torchwood, due to no Electrickery, and I didn't see Hogfather due to no SkyOne-ery. So I'll order the Hogfather from Amazon and watch Torchwood on the repeats.
But I DID see Strictly come dancing and I can't wait until lunchtime when I shall sit glued to the re-run of Mark's Argentine Tango as it was the HOTTEST thing I've ever seen. (*sizzle*)
I would give good money to see the AT done with two men. Why isn't there a gay Strictly Come Dancing?
Hmmm. everyone seems to be going to lunch early. If they think I'm going to sit and work while they all bugger off Christmas shopping, they've got another think coming!!
Two more lovely LOVELY reviews for Standish - One LJ one HERE from wildestranger and HURRAH! a review on Amazon.com too - HERE (bottom of page) elisa has added her review as well, but I've already said thank you for that!
(the anachronism that wildestranger refers to is completely idiotic on my part. I had written about Ambrose reading a book, wrote down "Dracula" went and researched Dracula, found out that it hadn't been published till about 50 years later, so went and found "The Vampyre" by Polidori which was published in 1819 - PERFECT! I then... *headdesk* forgot to change the text. What a mutton-head...)
