Stayed away from the manuscripts entirely today – and have been playing Oblivion (pretty badly) – I’ve worked out that (der…) I can use scrolls to cast spells and some of them are “once only” and some not. Since everyone wants to arrest me on sight, I’ve worked out that I can cast something called Supreme Beauty on people and it stops them chasing me for about 15 seconds. it gives me time to run off at least, (i’m getting good at this, it’s more like Benny Hill than Oblivion)  and if i can get to a cave or a mages guild I’ve got a good chance of staying out of further trouble, as my fellow mages attack my pursuers. But Bloody vampirism, I’m SICK of it. Seriously I’m the worst adventurer EVER. I’ve even lost me horse.

Thank you Rikibeth and Gehayi for my lovely Magma egg!

This is from Current TV with Brian Safi's "Thats' So Gay" segment. This time he discusses the evolution of gay characters in video games, how far we've come and how far we have to come.

I had to giggle at the ability to choose "unprotected gay sex" in Fable - as would they even HAVE condoms in the medieval world of Fable? Can you buy condoms from the shops? What DO they use for lube? Troll fat? Don’t answer that.

And this is the utterly, utterly brilliant Zero Punctuation (Ben (“Yahtzee”) Croshaw) from http://www.escapistmagazine.com  – ZP is an English games reviewer with a machine fire delivery but with an evil sense of humor. Here he dissects Assassin’s Creed – but it’s well worth finding your favourite (or least favourite) game on the site and seeing what he says about it.  I found Assassin’s Creed 2 hilarious and more recently Red Dead Redemption (which I still want to get despite the wall embedded horses…) Warning. If you are particularly PC (or French) you might find these videos a little offensive. But then – if you do, perhaps you are reading the WRONG Livejournal.
