As the rest of the UK seems to be suffering some kind of hurricane with Force 11 gales. It's a bit blowy here, but otherwise sunny and nice. Being right on the furthest east coast helps, I think!  Phew.

There's one thing that I won't tolerate on this, or any of my other blogs such as Speak Its Name, and that's bad/abusive behaviour.  I welcome (as anyone who's been with me for any time will know) lively discussion, even completely opposite opinions - but think of it like a debating society.  If someone has an opposing view to yours, then it's up to you to prove your own opinion without directly insulting your opponent.  Abuse is the last (or in some cases the first) resort of the feeble minded, or some such paraphrasing.  I love my flist because they often DO have opposing views, but they debate hotly and intelligently and the worst that happens, usually, is "We'll have to agree to disagree on this."  So that's why I banned someone yesterday, and why I smacked someone with a yellow card over at Speak Its Name too. It's not a case of "Playing Nice" because a debate isn't necessarily a nice thing - but it's a case of playing professional, perhaps.

Linden Bay Press are Speedy Gonzaleses!! Even though they are whoopying it up at EpiCon - they whipped up our contracts for the new Anthology which Hard & Fast will be in - and there has been much cover discussion.  I like, muchly, when a publisher lets the authors give a ton of input for a cover. Huzzah!

Talking of huzzah - there's a new blog for Gay Historical Fiction HERE  - and here's the syndicated feed for it.

And less Huzzah - Bloody Kerry has given me her new cold. Again. It's gone straight to my chest. I'm off this week and should be writing. So off I go to do that lil' thang.

It's moderately windy here in London, and obviously rained overnight - I think it's been doing it again a bit this morning, but I can't see any weather when I'm here in the bedroom! It was windy enough to blow down the old ladder that's being part of my fence (and holding back next door's rampant climbing rose a little), so I had to go out and tie that back up; but not windy enough to blow yesterday's wormery-cleaning tarpaulin off the line!

We have absolutely no wind left! Although our TV aerial has done something strange as we can't access the Freeview box. *humph* Looks like I'll just have to get some editing done after all, lol.

I broke my dad's skybox yesterday, I took the viewing card out to ring E4 to update it, they put me on hold for AGES so I gave up and put the viewing card back in - but it wouldn't recognise it!! Eek! I didn't tell him, as he can't work out how to use it, anyway. But I feel guilty!

I don't know, actually. I gacked it off the bbc.co.uk website. Luckily it wasn't as bad here!

Very boring weather here although it's sort of sideyways rain. Pics from the coasts various look awful.

I was hoping you were inland enough to escape floods and high tides and such!

Yes, thank goodness, I'm about 6 miles or so inland, and there's a gradual incline from the nearest broad which is about a mile away. Lovely and sunny here today! But god I'm SICK...

My email has mysteriously gone kaput. I'm getting stuff, but I can't reply. so I thought I'd use this way of saying 'yes, the yahoo group sounds great!'

It would have to be on a day when I'm supposed to be doing an author chat, wouldn't it!
