Because I would do THIS to them, without a doubt. *laughs uproariously* It wouldn't help that he'd have a name like Alessandro, or Sebastiane, either.

Happy birthday [livejournal.com profile] bouncy!  Have a Bounciful day!

You know, my first thought on seeing that is "hmm, I bet I could fit into a boys size 10". *is warped*

I would so put my child in that. It's probably a good thing that I don't have any.

It was enough to make me broody for about five seconds. With gelled up hair! And tennis shoes!!

Sadly, I do that to my kids. Every Sunday. Dark suits and smoldering darker looks that say 'yes, I'll be charging the psychotherapy to your account, mum.' I pick ties with dinosaurs or cartoon characters, but yeah. Now they need haircuts. Oh, every day is Easter where we live.

On a lighter note, they can tie a tie, and they're the only ones in their class who have class, if you know what I mean. (My oldest? Likes a French cuff with cuff links for orchestra, although the two little ones like... I can hardly say it... bolo ties.)

I think it's good to make children aware that one dresses appropriately to the occasion. Most of the time they're half naked hill trash wearing Van's and swim trunks, but so far, no banjos.

Hey, dressing them up as Dr Who is still (slightly) better than dressing them up as anime characters!

Like baby!Trunks from Dragon Ball...Ryoma from Prince of Tennis...Hani-senpai from Ouran Host Club...

the list goes on and on X-D

I mean mine are half naked hill trash... not stepping on other mother's toes. Mine only look good on Sunday, for three hours, and orchestra concerts.

I agre - give them a sense of style and knowing how to dress is important. Dressing like Dr Who from six months old? perhaps not so much!

:)

OMG...that is awesome. So much better than the little cord and sweater vest outfits I put him in for church:D (Though he does looking kicking in an argyle sweater vest.)

I knew someone who brought her 6-month-old baby to Mediawest in a Yoda suit, ears and all. Mummy was Greedo, snout and all. Well, at least tehy were both green...

Did you read the testimonials for that outfit? "Was bought for my son to attend my wedding in May..." She may dress the kid traditionally, but her timing's another matter!

I can dressmake, the possibilities are endless
although I have to say my cousin wasn't pleased when her son asked me for a wonderwoman costume
which i had to oblige on, obviously

my main character in my last book was Alessandro, and the one before that Sebastien, are you reading my mind or something
the next one is michelotto, or Constantine

The fact that they're on sale suggests that you would be a fairly atypical parent, not that that's bad in and of itself. If I ever have a child, can you at least provide input on the name? If. Or whenever I get a cat or a turtle or whatever not-very-high-maintenance pet I end up with.

She probably thinks it's just smart - which it is - nice to see them marketing it as a Who outfit, though!

That's a little disturbing. Yoda is Greedo's love child....

I'd be quite happy to name your child or your hamster what ever shocking name you wish me to. :)

Tharain was telling me his friend's cat is called Azkaban. I approve of that. Anything that sounds silly calling in the dark, is good.

*dying of the giggles* I don't suppose you have any pictures of him in his WW outfit?

And I mean, why not? I grew up with three boys older than me and when I wasn't being the token squaw or someone's wife, I was dressing up as cowboys or highwayman or spacemen (because of course, wimmim didn't go into space in the early 60's.) I was less feminist and more masculinist.

Mwahaha! My son is going to be the ring-bearer in my brother's wedding this fall. If by brother tells him to wear a tux, he's safe. But if he tells me to get my son a suit to wear...mwahaha! And given that we're American, I can probably get away with it. My own little mini-Doctor, and only I will know.

The scary thing is that I have a son of the appropriate age and size. And am enough of a Who fanatic to wonder if I could get him in it, and convince him it's okay to wear his tennis shoes with it. Of course, if he catches on, he'll disown me. Hmmm.
