If you wanted to know a little bit more about me (not a lot!) then Brit Writers has a post about me and where I live HERE

I'd like to plug a friend's books which have just gone up on Amazon for purchase. I've known Hayden Thorne (aka [livejournal.com profile] evremonde) for many years in an online capacity. I knew her when we were first in the Potter fandom and I could tell from the first words I read of hers that she wrote like a Victorian angel. Sumptuous would not be putting too much emphasis.  I was thrilled to bits when she told me that she'd sold not ONE but THREE novels to Prizm books (the first publisher concentrating on gay YA, as far as I know)

Icarus in Flight. A tender and heartfelt story of two young men who meet at a Victorian boarding school.

Banshee. A Victorian coming of age story with a tinge of the paranormal.

Masks: Rise of Heroes. A wonderful future-retro-spandex-filled tongue in cheek superhero story which I guarantee you will love (part of a trilogy)

Yes, yes, I know - you hate me for adding to your Amazon debt.  But I guess you could buy them directly from Prizm

Watch out for Hayden Thorne.  I expect great things from this writer!

No, it's wonderful. You're the first person in at least two decades who used a word I've never even heard before.

I am covered, nay, swamped with admiration.

I can't wait for her to start posting excerpts. I don't even deserve to sit in her shadow.

They aren't erotica, mind - obviously, being YA. BUT SO GOOD!!

*sobs*

Hey - well deserved, and I'm going to do what I can to push you like crazy. Not that you'll need it.

I've been haunting YA review blogs but will be expanding my reach to bigger sites. :) No worries, I'm taking a lot of notes from you.

Ppppffftt.

I didn't know about Coot Club and Horning - probably why my parents went there in the first place!! I feel ashamed I remember so little about those books :(

Garn! It's always the glamour of the Lakes that get remembered! If you ask anyone where Coot Club is based, they always say the Lakes.

Oh, how wonderful. I started by writing a gay YA but there didn't seem to be a market for it. I love YA novels, and often read them for fun at the beach, simply because somewhere inside me there's a perfectly preserved 14 year old girl. And No. I never ate one or anything. I used to be one. A while back.

We almost went to Norfolk when I was little. Dad wanted to sail on a barge but Mum wasn't keen so we didn't go :(

Banshee appeals to me immediately. I'm half way through stories of the afterlife atm but have a few bookcases to read after that. I'll keep this in mind tho. And WOT NO PRON? O.O LOL

That's a shame! There are other things to sail than barges!
