Well that was easy!  I just made my unemployment claim - ON LINE!!  Most impressed.  I was really dreading to have to go to a smelly office with loads of smelly unemployed people.  (this includes me, of course)  This is a great improvement and this is the best use for the internet so far, imho.

Now. Two hours of job-hunting and then I'll write this arvo.

Can you sign-on online too, or will you still have to go in to the office for that? I do, but then it's only 5-10 minutes walk, which at least gets me out of the flat once a fortnight!

Have you looked at online jobs? I've seen the occasional ad from Google and other online companies, and my sister, who's got some restrictive health problems that keep her from doing a 40-hour workday, does medical records transcription from home.

The JobCentre Plus thing online is really good to hunt - saves having to go places and you can hunt for jobs at any time of the night!

I'll have to have a look, thanks! That would be great if I could do that, but so many jobs of that ilk are scams, there must be somewhere where I can find real bona fide ones.
