erastes: (I DO!)
[personal profile] erastes
A few weeks ago [livejournal.com profile] alex_beecroft had to idea to do an anthology for charity - all profits to go to the Lambda Legal Fund and we have been reading submissions since then. We had a large entry, far far larger than we could use, which was wonderful - we could have done an anthology twice the size at least. However we winnowed them down and we've now decided on the final stories.

The contracts have been sent out to the authors, and a blurb and running order have been prepared and shipped off to MLR Press.

The anthology will be available in ebook and print form, and we'll let you know where you can buy it as soon as we can.

Do you support the right of any human being to marry the person they love? The right to say 'I Do' to a life of commitment and sharing with that one special person? Through sickness and health, for better or worse, till death do them part?

We do.

That's why the following authors have donated stories to this anthology in the hope of making the dream of marriage a reality that everyone can share:

Alex Beecroft, Allison Wonderland, Cassidy Ryan, Charlie Cochrane, Clare London, Emma Collingwood, Erastes, Fiona Glass, Jeanne Barrack, Jerry Wheeler, Lee Rowan, Lisabet Sarai, Marquesate, Mallory Path, Moondancer Drake, P.A Brown, Sharon Maria Bidwell, Storm Grant, Tracey Pennington, Z.A Maxfield, and Zoe Nichols.

Printing and distribution costs have been kindly donated by MLR Press

All profits from this anthology will go to the Lambda Legal Fund, http://www.lambdalegal.org/, to help them fight the cause of marriage equality in the CA Supreme Court and beyond.

I support the right for people in love to marry, regardless of gender, race or religous belief. Congratulations on the anthology.

I am totally anti-marriage at the moment - maybe because the divorce isn't through yet! *g*

However, I totally support the right of anyone to make a commitment to another, regardless of sex, race, religion or anything else.

Although I do draw the line at marrying your pet.

That's just - time to get a life, folks.

It's never been about marrying pets - that's the oldest clinker in the ash heap. Why the fundies make the jump from same-sex adult commitment to people getting weird with animals says more about them than us, I think.

It's the het people who seem to insist on marrying their horses, after all!

I totally believe that if you love someone you should have the choice and the right to marry, regardless of gender. Way to go guys. You pulled off this anthology in record time and I can't wait to buy a copy.

Speedy Gang of Four, that's us! No, seriously, Alex has been a star and has worked her arse off, as well as having to edit False Colors, and write and look after a family! It's got such a great line-up too ! :)
