Chats Chores and Covers
Mar. 4th, 2009 07:02 pmFirst of all, I'm chatting tonight at Romance Junkies. at 9PM EST, which is (gasp) 2am GMT. ARGH. However PST its 6pm and Central it's 8pm so please pop over and join. There will be two other authors chatting with me (J.K. Coi and Amy Ruttan) and the chat only lasts an hour. I've be giving away a couple of things, an ARC of Transgressions, (get it before everyone else!) and a download of another book
This is a Live Chat and the chatroom can be found here.
http://www.romancejunkies.com/chat.html
You don't have to join, or give any details, just type in a nickname and enter - you'll end up in the "lobby" - then click on the little door icon and select "R J Chat" and come and join the fun -- the other authors should be doing giveaways too. If you have a question, type ??? and the moderator will take the questions in order. See you there! With matchsticks in my eyes! I'm going to have a nap now, and wake up later.
Transgressions has finally got a cover up on Amazon. Hurrah!
I got a lot of my chores done, signed on at the unemployment (and was duly sneered at for missing my appointment, I knew they'd never believe that I had the car off the road for that length of time). Then dashed to Dad's where I had a huge pile of parcels waiting for me. (Library and vet not available today, so I'll do those manana)
1. My Priests Calendar (thank you
liriaen for organising this)
2. A new phone. You can start laying bets on how long this one will last.
3. A belated Christmas parcel from lee_rowan consisting of an oatmeal bath soak, a gorgeous chinese bronze necklace, Grose's Dictionary of the Vulgar Tongue (Dad: "this is second hand!") and some sweets!! I'm spoiled!
4. A book from Amazon (What Jane Austen Ate and what Dickens Knew.)
5. A refill printer kit
Well worth going. What is amusing (now) is that I rang Dad yesterday and asked him if there were any parcels and he said "No, there's been nothing delivered here for you..." Poor man. He manages perfectly well on his routine, e.g. he's used to getting parcels for me and he pops them in the spare room, but then he doesn't remember having done that. Everything is in the "now" for him. The only reason that I really fear getting like that is that he can't now read, he can't remember what he read, or even that he had a book he was reading. That would just about kill me. Maybe that's why I read so voraciously now.
See you in the chat, I hope! Come and ask me stuff.

Date: 2009-03-04 10:59 pm (UTC)I'm glad the package got there. It didn't occur to me that your dad might be incubating it. But as long as you got the goodies... (Yeah, second-hand book. Makes it even more historical, right?)

Date: 2009-03-05 01:24 am (UTC)And yes, it was the first time in nearly 3 weeks I'd managed to get over there with no car, so it was great to have all those parcels! And I laughed and clutched the book to me "second hand is better!" I said!
