Drink! Girls! Feck! Arse!
Mar. 5th, 2009 12:06 pmShow me an artist that has truly suffered from illegal downloading. I can’t find and don’t see any. Yes, it’s wrong if the artist doesn’t want that to happen. No, it doesn’t harm their sales: on the contrary, it helps them out.
Head Meet Desk. I had to reply. I just had to.
My chat went well last night, not a huge turnout (when is there ever?) but everyone was very friendly and the Mod had it very organised. I'd definitely do it again.
Lili has been to the vet, and has had injections and has pills to take. She seems to be in less pain now, thank goodness. Then I went to the library and got told off for having cat hair on my books. Sigh. Remind me to dust and polish my books upon return in future. *growls*

Date: 2009-03-05 04:52 pm (UTC)And to be charitable about the librarian, maybe she was worried about other patrons with allergies? Though unless the book was so encrusted with cat hair as to look like it needed a shave, I doubt that would be a problem.

Date: 2009-03-05 09:15 pm (UTC)On the other hand, I see so much entitlement from people on filesharing sites; a lot of people (kids?) clearly don't realise that someone is losing out if they beg for a certain album to be uploaded, and that worries me.
What a bitch of a librarian! Maybe she's allergic and you caught her at a bad time? Anyway, I'm with other commenters - don't let her put you off if you like the library.
