And you can work out which of those four words refer to this person's comments on Romance the Blog regarding ebook theft.

Show me an artist that has truly suffered from illegal downloading. I can’t find and don’t see any. Yes, it’s wrong if the artist doesn’t want that to happen. No, it doesn’t harm their sales: on the contrary, it helps them out.

Head Meet Desk. I had to reply. I just had to.

My chat went well last night, not a huge turnout (when is there ever?) but everyone was very friendly and the Mod had it very organised.  I'd definitely do it again.

Lili has been to the vet, and has had injections and has pills to take. She seems to be in less pain now, thank goodness.  Then I went to the library and got told off for having cat hair on my books. Sigh. Remind me to dust and polish my books upon return in future. *growls*

You were told off for having CAT HAIR on your books??? Shame on you! Don't you know that library books are supposed to be returned with crotchspawn drool and sticky fingerprints? That makes it okay - even cute. But pet hair? MAIS NON!

o_O

Honestly. Some people (like that librarian) need to get a clue...)

I was horribly embarrassed, she didn't need to do it so publicly either.

:( I shall go to Great Yarmouth library in future.

She ought to be reported to her superior. There's no need of that sort of thing.

I commented too. What a moron.

And to be charitable about the librarian, maybe she was worried about other patrons with allergies? Though unless the book was so encrusted with cat hair as to look like it needed a shave, I doubt that would be a problem.

Perhaps, but they weren't encrusted. I'm mortified and will probably change my library.

If you want to switch, then go for it, but if you like that library, don't let some hair-obsessed, cat hating librarian drive you off!

*laughs*

They might be a bit soggy after though.

I am so torn on this issue, because I download a lot of music (legally) from music blogs, and if I like something I will often go looking for the artist's homepage and pay to download/order more music. So music sharing works the way it's intended to with me, and I think with a lot of other people who are passionate about their music.

On the other hand, I see so much entitlement from people on filesharing sites; a lot of people (kids?) clearly don't realise that someone is losing out if they beg for a certain album to be uploaded, and that worries me.

What a bitch of a librarian! Maybe she's allergic and you caught her at a bad time? Anyway, I'm with other commenters - don't let her put you off if you like the library.
