Jason Isaacs on Entourage… Omg. I have died. DIED I tell you.

Yay! Primeval is back—so bad it’s unmissable. and Robin Hoodie, but I missed that, as my brain died about 4pm and I had to go and nap.

I read five pages of an ebook yesterday before giving up in disgust.  I really think that a m/m author (and the editor, and the publisher) should know the difference between prostate and prostrate. REALLY.

argh. Brokeback on the TV. I don’t have the courage to watch it again.

I couldn't believe it - I sat there staring at the screen for a few seconds wondering if it was just me seeing what wasn't there.

I can forgive typos, but not that one.

Actually, I can't forgive typos in anything commercial for which people are supposed to pay money - except for the odd one, because we all know it is the Law of the Universe that there WILL be typos, no matter what. One like that, though, does not belong into the Law of the Universe but into YOU DUMBOS!

:-D

Having worked in Urology for 11 years...the bane of my life is the mixing of prostate and prostrate, lol. Maybe people have prostrate prostates? o.O

I've just switched Brokeback off. Once the sheep have gone it's not that interesting but I do lurve Heath *sigh* Did you see my post the other day with the YouTube link to extreme shepherding/sheeping?

My own father doesn't know the difference between prostrate and prostate. (As in, "The doctor says he has to test my prostrate.") Can't make fun of him, he's my dad, but still. :)

Neither did I until I started writing gay romance. Then suddenly it become important.

Yeah. The Talented Mr. Ripley is maybe worse than Brokeback for me. And it is leering at me from its pretty box :)

Oh, Brokeback. I haven't been able to watch it a second time -- I saw it in the cinema and it had me in sobs by the end.

Jason Isaacs, you say? I've seen the first two series of Entourage and quite enjoyed them, but haven't seen the rest since we stopped getting HBO. Obviously this should be remedied.

They are all readily available on line, except season five which is only on megaupload, I've been watching them here

http://watch-entourage.com/

I've just finished them, and frankly can't find anything bad to say about them, yes, it's not really a "real" world, but then Hollywood isn't!

should know the difference between prostate and prostrate.

One would hope so - just like I complained about them not knowing the difference between prone and supine and the use of the verb 'to lie'. All seems pretty basic to me.

They should so, but time and again, we see that that don't!

I sent a hardcopy back to Amazon in disgust this week, which is something I have never done before. I won't say what it was (not anybody I've ever come across here, thankfully) but it was clearly a publisher that would print anything as long as the payment was right.

It was absolutely diabolical. It had clearly not even been read through by somebody possessed of a standard English O level pass, and amongst many other glaring errors, the 'author' was woefully unable to differentiate between 'there', 'their' and 'they're'.

I'm afraid there are a few publishers like that!!

Yes, it was one with a site I had giggled at before. Had I known they were the 'publisher' I would never have bothered. Though I was actually in two minds whether to keep this particular volume to show people simply because it was so horribly and amusingly bad.
We live and learn : )
