South Korean ticket sales exceeded 3 million by January 21 for “A Frozen Flower,” a gay period film set during the Goryeo dynasty. The movie follows the developing relationship between the Goryeo King and his commander during a time of political instability at the royal court and abroad. The film’s wide release is playing on 536 screens and has grossed 21.5 billion won (or 15.5 million USD) outdoing local and foreign films. M-Line Distribution announced that it has secured the right to oversee international sales.
