First stop, Eileen Clew’s hotel and bathhouse. The good woman fair screamed the place down at seeing my surprising her, and her welcome at least gave no indication to the other gentlemen there of my inclinations, which is just as well—no play for you, me boy, not today.

The city is busier than ever it was—but then I’ve been away longer than I like to remember. I was (probably) about 15 last time I had a bath here, I remember that docker…what was his name? Sean? Seamus? I remember his tongue more readily than I do his face. My bath’s ready more later.
