What 5 pieces of advice would you give to characters in your novel(s)?

Advice to Ambrose in Standish - not much sense until the book comes out

1) If a job offer looks too good to be true, it probably is
2) Don't accept gifts or give a bedbath to someone you feel ambivalent about
3) He loves you.
4) America is a nice place. And big. You could do worse.
5) If a leopard has spots, do you really think he's going to shed them?

Well, I defriended it because that's what I thought. But when it defriended me back I had a sudden moment of "omg, I've offended her, she must still be using it!". ;)
