Limping along with the PC – it actually works OK although slower, and won’t open any programmes, but AVG is still running in the background, because it scanned and closed down overnight which it normally does. I spent an hour on the phone with asphodeline and her husband who were extremely helpful and I think that the restore they walked me through did help, but something is seriously wrong, as it still doesn’t recognise .exe programmes. However, it will need to go to the shop at some point, as soon as I can afford it. Roll on royalties.
I have three external blog posts to link to:
Two on Jessewave’s blog, last week’s and this week:
Oranges and Carrots, – how reviewers (who don’t know anything about gay romance) seem to be reviewing it from the perspective of heterosexual romance and of course are not managing the join the dots.
And this week it's Words that make me go “d’oh!”, Words like giggle and snuggle.
And my monthly post for Unusual Historicals – discussing the Macaronis, for their “Men” month.
I’ve just finished reading “Strange Meeting” by Susan Hill, which – being written in 1989 and based in WW1 I expected to be sad and i wasn’t wrong, but oh GOD it wouldn’t have killed her to make it a happy ending. It really wouldn’t. Good book though.
And I got another stripe and a chicken egg! :D
