I THOUGHT my friends list had been quiet...

All my feeds disappeared for an entire week and I didn’t even notice. LOL.  However they ALL came back today and I have pages and pages and pages of the stuff. Jessewave’s Blog takes up a whole 50 entries just by itself!  God knows why this happens.

This cover made me sit up – OMG I thought, a lesbian Regency!  But no. It’s not. 

Sadly! Are there any?

Metal Gear Solid 4 is marvellous. Really and truly.  There was a small period of adjustment because for no good reason that I could see they changed the button alignment.  After three games where they used the O button as “action” and X as cancel they’ve changed it around to the other way.  I can see the sense of this, because the X button is the button nearly every single game in the world uses for the Action, but after all these years it was a bit of a learning curve to train my fingers to think otherwise.  It’s slowed my reactions – and yes, that’s why I’m playing it on easy. Honest.  REALLY!  :)

And the other day I was comparing Oblivion with Metal Gear and saying that you didn’t get thrown right into the action with MG, that you had time to work your way into it, and lo and behold if the game didn’t prove me wrong and have me thrown immediately into a full sized war zone. eek! The worst thing about it is that I’ve been reading the walkthoughs AFTER I’ve been through a section and get peed off at how much stuff I’ve missed!  Snake has an ipod in this one (I can’t see it myself, the white headphones would not be ideal for sneaking) and you can pick up songs as well as guns and bullets.  What I also love is that not everyone on the battlefield is an enemy (although it’s bloody hard to tell which is which) and if you help the local militia they’ll help you out and more importantly won’t bloody shoot at you.

25th annual Gatsby Summer Afternoon. Oh why oh WHY don’t men dress as prettily as this any more?  They obviously enjoy it!  I think Johnny Stokes would end up whisking me away.  Gregory Seeley is obviously less of a cad, but hell, when has that made me act wisely?

The men looked very nice but the cars behind them!!! *drools* I swear some where Packards which were built here back in the day and the Packard house where the family lived is two blocks over from me.

A lesbian Regency would be pretty awesome, since they could at least help each other get back into their dresses after the sex. Ladies clothes then seem to have been a bit too complicated for men to figure out. (Ergo they should stick to other men, who have easier clothes. :D)
