Lucky. I hope he tours again, so I'll get the chance to experience the Thin White Duke too :)

I went to that as well! Absolutely the farthest away from the stage I could be, and I was still upset about having missed Serious Moonlight, but it was BOWIE. Also, Heroes with him all tied up in those ropes.

I'm ashamed to say I saw Ziggy, and The Duke, and SM...

:) Ah happy days.

It really was. I'd say that Serious Moonlight was more glossy, but Glass Spider really stood out for me.

I saw Bowie for free 1996ish. Morrisey had cancelled and they were on together at the Arena in Newcastle. Half the audience dropped out so the tickets were given to the hospital that day.

Are you watching Heaven Can Wait?

The Rolling Stones for me.It was outside; they were three hours late, and everyone was far gone, gone, gone by the time they started playing. My sister, her partner and I moved right up next to the stage. This was in the mid 70s.

Queen's last US tour, in Cincinnati. And yes, that does date me, but Freddie Mercury was worth it. He had that ability to take the energy from the audience, transmute it, and send it all back out again.

I saw that concert, back in Oz of course. It was the best thing I ever saw before I emigrated.

My most memorable was seeing NIN from the best spot in the house, in the Warfield.

Spending a night with Trent at the top of his form, ripped and shirtless and shining with sweat, right in front of me at eye level, was utterly droolworthy.

Oh, and the music was great too. ;^>

I wasn't even in primary school for the Ziggy Stardust tour. I discovered him around 1983, and my parents weren't letting me go to concerts yet for Serious Moonlight, and I had to content myself with the Ziggy Stardust concert film, which was of course amazing.

I *did* see Tin Machine in a very small club. I remember absolutely nothing of the music; I just remember being about twenty feet away from him WITH HIS SHIRT OFF.
