Game of Thrones starts filming soon. I simply cannot wait. There's a wonderful post here with pictures of all the cast members. In addition, Jason Momoa has been cast as Khal Drogo. Utter perfection. I love the fact that he did a haka on his audition.  No wonder he got it.

I’ve posted a dilemma on The Macaronis today and would be VERY grateful for your input.  I’ve cross posted it to Meta Writer too. When is a historical character not a historical character and what liberties can one take with him?

Autumn is definitely here.  We’ve been very lucky with September and most of October – and in fact the weather even today is more like late September than nearly November. The sun is shining, even if it’s a little chilly in my writing spot (the coldest part in the room, oddly) but the leaves are falling, and the trees are changing colour (very late.)  My bird table is groaning with seeds, suet, meal worms and is being entirely ignored, so there’s obviously a lot of food elsewhere.

We didn't even have Autumn here in Ohio. It went straight to winter. Bleh.

I had no idea Game of Thrones was happening - and on HBO! I am so excited. The casting appears incredible. Just imagine, if HBO makes a success of this, which is likely, we may get a flourish of this type of show on TV and film. Only I hope it is better than Vampire Diaries.

It won't be anything like the vampire diaries because that tripe is already a pale imitation of an imitation of an imitation. And written by committee.

I'm sooo looking forward to this. I shall have to turn off my "ASOIAF GEEK" head and not care about the stuff they will HAVE to leave out and just wallow in it.
