I remember doing a submission call for this book "Body 2 Body" - an anthology for gay Malaysians, and it's so good seeing it get into print, and getting into Time Magazine too, no less! Yay!

I don't like to shout "vote for meeee" - please note how restrained I have been regarding Elisa's popularity awards (proud) - but in this case, I change my mind because the anthology is for charity and a great cause. So go and vote for I Do: An anthology in support of marriage equality  which is up for Dark Diva's top pick of the month.

And if you live in Maine, go and vote against the move to repeal the same sex marriage thingy.

Remember this job I mentioned a few days back?

Supporting the Manager, you'll help maximise the benefits that e-sourcing tools can offer in ensuring compliant procurement. As well as sharing best practice with other stakeholders, you'll communicate information on regulatory compliance and work with category teams to make certain that all processes reflect both legal and best practice.

Well, I sent them my CV via  email, now, spot the irony here - they phoned on Friday and told me that I had an interview.  and that they would be sending me a letter to confirm when and where.

This baffles me.  They used two types of communication which rather flew in the face of the job, surely?  Plus...There's been postal strikes over the last couple of weeks, and surprise surprise the letter hasn't reached me... And the interview is supposed to be tomorrow. Looks like I can't go!  Shame because I would mention the irony.

Adopt one today! - Adopt one today! - Adopt one today!

I don't know how I missed voting in the popularity thingy. I didn't even know about it! Anyway, I voted for I Do at DD, and I'm also waiting for my copy to get here from Amazon. God knows when I'll get to read it, but at least I ordered it finally.

Can't you call them and tell them you didn't get the letter? It would be a shame to miss a job interview. But the irony is ... well, ironical. I thought the UK was better organized than that.

Yes, you did - you mentioned it here

That's the popularity contest I'm talking about.

Organised? hahahaha!!!! I suspect it must be sales - as I didn't even fill in an application form. And I'm not doing sales. No, don't have their phone number - they had my email address, so why they phoned me to tell me a letter, I really can't imagine!

Yes, I mentioned it, but I didn't know about it until after it was over and Elisa announced the finalists. A little late, then. Unless she considered the entire thing to be a popularity contest...? I got the impression that it was a separate thing.
