Pleased as punch for Donald

Donald L Hardy gets a massive 95 percent at Mrs Giggles! Hurrah! And even more--Amazing!!
I’m pleased by this sentence particularly:
Mr Hardy isn't playing by rules laid down by conventional romance formula
Because hoo-rah!—gay romances don’t have any reason to obey these mythical rules laid down by the Cardigans. And unless you want to have a woman substitute in one of the protagonists, it doesn’t work anyway. (Unless it’s Standish… *blush*) Most romances are about the woman, the woman’s journey, the empowerment of the woman, and the way she “tames” her arrogant, brute of a man (yes yes, i know they aren’t all like that) and how her life is made complete by a man—and gay romances simply can’t all slot into those tropes. Anyway, well done, Donald—I’m proud to know you – and I got to read it while you were writing it! Can I say I knew you before you wuz famous?
My birds are picking the sunflower seeds off the table and leaving all the other stuff. Fussy bastards. The cats keep going out in the snow, then come running in here, leaping into my arms to warm up. I'm just a hot water bottle and nothing more.I wish I had someone to warm me up,. It's freezing in here. I definitely need new windows.

Date: 2010-01-05 05:44 pm (UTC)I did buy both False Colors and Transgressions last year when they were released but I checked in the same bookstore before Christmas but neither Lee's book nor this one were there as yet. I had no idea they were already released.
I'll check on amazon to see if there's a Kindle version
