He's been pitching (much to my terror) Standish to the TV stations here, and although they rejected the book for making into a series (hardly surprising, but I live in hope) – but he’s had word back that ITV want to use the book as part of product placement for "Emmerdale" I can't tell you how funny this is, as I remember the show when it was all about farming. Now it's a lot more about the characters and sex than sheep which is just as well.

~~I don't watch it, but apparently there's a new gay character starting (http://www.pinknews.co.uk/2010/03/02/another-gay-character-for-emmerdale/) soon - (he looks a bit loony to me, and what's with the hair?) and they want him to be reading gay historicals, and Standish is one of the books they picked.~~

Some great things around today to make me laugh – Google has an animal translation app just launched. Watch the Video. Mafia Wars has a unicorn castle. My vampire hatchling is actually dead, i think, not just un-dead.
