Another Fun Day!

Which (I freely admit) started with DREAD. I was particularly unwell yesterday (no, you really don’t want to know) and this morning I had an appointment to drive back over to Alex Beecroft’s neck of the woods. Out.com had arranged for a London photographer to come up and take piccies for the interview they did last week.  I loathe having my photo taken (even when I’m not Bibendum Sized) so you can generally tell how I was feeling about it.

However I shouldn’t have worried. Not only was Alex feeling the same, (and it was great to see her again) but the photographer (and Ruth, his assistant) was really wonderful. Put us at our ease (eases?) and we were laughing more often than not.

The first set of pictures were done here, at Peacock’s tearooms in Ely where they set aside a whole room for us, then we went to Ely Cathedral and took some vista shots and then to the river. Hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of pictures…So I hope they got one of me without a billion chins.

More good news, heard that Noble Romance will definitely be putting their books into print sometime soon, so watch this space for Last Gasp in print.

Noddity. The magazine will come out in September, and we've been promised a copy. It's more available in the States but I would imagine it will be gettable here by order, but I'll scan it in when it comes.

Yes - the journalist was over last week and spent about 3 hours with us talking - the article will come out in September.

I hope he uses some happy ones - I can't frankly see how anyone can do anything with me without severe airbrushing of the chins, but what the heck - that's what I've allowed myself to get like, i'll have to admit that is what people have to look at.

I'm not sure if either of us were really settled with the level of attention - and we are both a little worried at the angle the magazine will take - seeing as how the mag is aimed at gay men, as Alex put it, if it's "what are those wacky non-penis people doing now?" then we won't be very happy, but *shrug* I suppose it is exposure for the genre as a whole which is what we both want. Just amusing that they pick on the two most hermity people in that genre.

The tearoom is absolutely gorgeous and I would be a regular there if I lived in the area, the owner came and sat and watched the proceedings and he was a real darling, helping to lighten our moods and make us laugh!
