Your result for The Steampunk Style Test...

The Explorer

18% Elegant, 21% Technological, 40% Historical, 100% Adventurous and 29% Playful!

You are the Explorer, the embodiment of steampunk’s adventuring spirit. For you, clothing should be rugged and reliable, and just as functional as it is attractive. You probably prefer khaki or leather, and your accessories are as likely to include weapons as technological gizmos. You probably wear boots and gloves, and maybe a pith helmet. Most of what you wear is functional, and if you happen to wear goggles people had better believe that you use them. In addition to Victorian exploration gear, your outfit probably includes little knickknacks from your various travels. Above all, you are a charming blend of rugged Victorian daring and exotic curiosity.

*g* Me too. What's the point of Steampunk if you're not out discovering lost cities or the like?

No corsets for me! Can't think of anything worse. I'd be wearing men's clothes even at balls, because I'm sure that kind of thing would be perfectly acceptable.

Oh, I wear corsets in real life just for fun (occasionally). They give you great posture and they feel rather sexy, as if someone is giving you a powerful hug. But you'd have to be slightly insane to wear one for anything that involved physical exertion, and if I was going to be a steampunk character for real, I'd want to be a man anyway. (And even then I'd only wear a corset for special occasions ;) )

What's not to like about an elegant figure in a proper dinner jacket and maybe some decent goggles, just for emergencies?
