I had a very evil lunch. Egg, bacon and soss. and brown bread sarnie. But I’ve been hugely good for ages, so I deserve it. So there.

I should be meeting asphodeline and her other half tomorrow. eek! Let’s hope the Curse of the Internets doesn’t strike again, I don’t think I can handle it twice in one month.

Hugely impressed with the Deathly Hallows Trailer. One thing I’ve always said about the films is that they are generally better than the books, and with DH the film couldn’t fail to be better. After all, they could hardly do 3 hours of camping. I love the look of the stark photography and the real sense of menace. Perhaps all the good bits are in the trailer, but I’m looking forward to seeing it,

Writing simply not flowing at all. I wish I knew why. I’m so tempted to chuck up I Knew Him and do something else, but then I’ll fail for 2010 and not reach my goal of a novella and a novel. Just having written one novella in a year is pretty weak. I swear I wrote more when I was at work.

ETA: after whining like a whining thing I sucked it up and wrote over 1000 words. My characters were having a bit of an argument, and like most arguments it didn’t exactly make a lot of sense—I don’t think either of them realised what they were really arguing about, poor boys.  I should enjoy the next section more as it’s about polo. I like polos. nom.

You have had good reason to be a little behind in the writing plans this year! Don't be too hard on yourself.

And your lunch doesn't sound that evil to me at all. I'm currently doing Slimming World and had chips, beans and fried egg for tea, all of which are on the "eat as much of this as you like" list :)

I think you just hit on the best reason to watch this film. ;)

Here's hoping! Right now I'm getting a major Lucius cuddle so be prepared for cat hair all over my tee shirt.

I know, I know, but I could have worked harder, all the same!! And Ms Kettle, you are just as hard on yourself.

I failed miserably with Slimming World, I'm afraid. It's a licence to binge, and if they say I can eat "unlimited" food, then that's exactly what I'll do. It's probably excellent for people who are able to stop at 20 sausages, but not for bingers. :(

Although there are two films, so perhaps there's an hour and a half in each one!!!

I have recently realized that this year I've written approximately 130K, which is over two novels of the size of Captain's Surrender. So perhaps I ought not to be feeling too guilty after all :)

Ah, I binge on biscuits, chocolate, crisps and nuts/Bombay mix, so I have to treat them the way an alcoholic treats alcohol and avoid altogether. But I can't binge on things like vegetable curry with brown rice, so I'm fairly safe with an unlimited amount of that.

Don't they say that an occasional blow-out is a good thing for a diet? Keeps your metabolism from slowing down or something. And anyway, I don't suppose a single meal will make much of a difference :)
