Writer’s Pets

OK – so I had this silly idea that might be fun to do.

If you’ve got a pet, and you are a writer, then share a picture of it, or them on this post. If it gets popular then I’ll probably make a feature page of it on my website. The only criteria is: that you write—you don’t have to be published—and that you have a LIVE pet. (rocks and cuddly toys don’t count).

If you have a pic of them HELPING you write then that’s good too, or a video – here’s the perfect example.

and pass it on! it's not limited to any genre!

I wouldn't normally release a picture of me into the wild but here is the dog, Sirius, "helping" me organise my thoughts and Elin chasing a fly along the windowsill by my table and Tabiti contemplating dinner. As I type Tabiti is on the corner of the table, so the back of my wrist brushes her fur, doing her impression of the happy buddha.

That example video made me laugh out loud - a cat's inertia is truly a mighty force. That poor man, incapable of telling his cat to take a hike, and meaning it.

he does a series of "writer's life" videos - there's one where Molly is just sitting on his hand so he's unable to type and she won't move at all. It's obvious she loves him, and he loves her back but he's just baffled as to WHY!!
