I’m promoing “Out of the Ashes” by R W Day because it is fabulous and needs shouting about.

For anyone who read “A Strong and Sudden Thaw” by the same author, you’ll have been, like me, gagging for the sequel and to find out what happened to David and Callan. I haven’t read the final version yet, but I’ll be doing a review of it when I’ve bought a copy. But going from the version I read when she first wrote it, it’ll be getting five stars, no problem…

The sequel to A Strong and Sudden Thaw at last! The world after the Ice remains a dangerous place. Callan and David have survived the dragons but rebuilding lives is no easy task. When the army comes to their town to enforce an evacuation, Callan is suspicious about their claims of tainted groundwater and radiation. David feels he must join his family in defending town, even if rebellion means deadly force is needed. Tragedy strikes when the Brethren, a crazed religious order, seeks to control the new world through not only preaching intolerance but forced conversion and torture as well. Can the love between these young men withstand not only distance but betrayal?

It is darker, as with many sequels, but still every bit as good, imho.

I don't mind dark. What I mind more is the wait until the book will be available at Amazon Germany.

I have been gagging for a sequel since I read the original from Iris...and the revised edition from Lethe...several times.

Is it out? Is it out? Is it out?

Will do! I think I'll wait for it to turn up on Amazon UK though, as I want it in paperback.
