For male on male character dialogue, and I don’t necessarily mean gay interaction, but simply how men talk to each other, you could do worse than to check out the series Flashpoint which I’m addicted to. There’s these two guys, Ed and Doug who work together, have done for years, and yet they don’t know everything about each other, and they pretty much exist with “you ok?” “yep.” “No, I mean, are you ok.?” Even when they have a heart to heart it’s almost monosyllabic. I’m not saying that all men talk like this, but I know sure as hell some do. Brilliantly written imho.

This made me laugh because my best friend is a guy. Its pretty frustrating sometimes.

When he left his lover of three years he told me a couple weeks after "oh I moved out." (insert girl comments here) "It's fine." (more girl comments) "no, really I'm OK. Did you see Supernatural last night." (insert girl frustration) and then every so often out of the blue I'll get an email from him. One miles long talking about all the stuff going on inside. That does not mean he wants to talk about it. It just means now I know...and moving on.

I know there are guys out there who actually do talk about how they feel and stuff. I don't seem to know any of them. Thanks for this link, I'm going to take a better look when I have more time.
