Aside from the two or three mouthfuls she had last night, she’s had nothing more. I’m really starting to panic now.  I just don’t think this is going to end well. I’ve tried to stay upbeat for four days, and now all I can see is horrendous vet bills I can’t afford, a decision based on that, which will be full of guilt, and a life without my noisy monster. Back to the vets for her 3rd antibiotic injection at five, and we’ll see what they say.

Sweetie --

If she's uncomfortable enough not to eat, and she's clearly in distress, it's not bad or evil or selfish to choose to end her life before it gets totally sucky. It's part of being a pet owner, to be able to give them the grace of a good exit. Now, it's very possible that this is just a passing infection, which can be cured, and both of us are being overly dramatic/worried, but if it IS something that can't be cured or is beyond your means to have cured, then it's sad, but you should make the decision based on both your means and what Lili's life quality will be if you can't afford the vet bills and it gets worse.

Many hugs and worried pattings from this side of the pond. Mittens, Mughi, and Obi-Wan Kenokhi send their love and purrs to Lili.

*hugs* I do hope it's just 'a phase' and a minor illness, and not something horrible.

This is so utterly awful. I'm sorry you have to go through this and to make such a hard decision. *hugs*

Oh no!

Do they know what's wrong with her?

no - they don't rush to spend a fortune straight away, they like to see if the animal will come around, but she was sick again after the small mouthfuls she had tonight, so it seems likely she's got something seriously wrong. I don't know whether it's worth putting her throught heaps of expensive tests.

That doesn't sound good. It's too bad there's no way to know whether something is easily treatable or not before the tests. I suppose if there are simpler/less expensive tests, you could start there.

It's awful all 'round.

Poor you and poor Lili. :(

I'm sorry to hear about your kitty, Lili. I hope your baby feels better soon. My heart goes out to the two of you.
