Lili – still not eating
Oct. 12th, 2010 04:11 pmAside from the two or three mouthfuls she had last night, she’s had nothing more. I’m really starting to panic now. I just don’t think this is going to end well. I’ve tried to stay upbeat for four days, and now all I can see is horrendous vet bills I can’t afford, a decision based on that, which will be full of guilt, and a life without my noisy monster. Back to the vets for her 3rd antibiotic injection at five, and we’ll see what they say.

Date: 2010-10-12 03:20 pm (UTC)If she's uncomfortable enough not to eat, and she's clearly in distress, it's not bad or evil or selfish to choose to end her life before it gets totally sucky. It's part of being a pet owner, to be able to give them the grace of a good exit. Now, it's very possible that this is just a passing infection, which can be cured, and both of us are being overly dramatic/worried, but if it IS something that can't be cured or is beyond your means to have cured, then it's sad, but you should make the decision based on both your means and what Lili's life quality will be if you can't afford the vet bills and it gets worse.
Many hugs and worried pattings from this side of the pond. Mittens, Mughi, and Obi-Wan Kenokhi send their love and purrs to Lili.
