Blood tests today – got it second time (and I still had the bruises from last week) and there doesn’t seem to be any bruises from today which is a bonus.

Starlings are here en masse – and the long tailed tits arrive every day too – they are already getting through a bird table of food and 2 fat balls a day – God knows what they’ll all be like when winter comes!

Been quiet and peaceful today, and I’ve managed to relax. Thank goodness. No other news, which is kind of dull. But peaceful. Hatch, damn you! I wanna see what you’ve got!

Yay! Claire won Masterchef – WELL DESERVED. I had my theoretical money on her.

Adopt one today! - Adopt one today! - Adopt one today! - Adopt one today! - Adopt one today!

That must be a lot of birds at the feeders.

Quiet days are nice once in a while. Now if I could have one...

I've seen the hatchlings for the new Halloween eggs. All I'll say is, well, I managed to get two this year so that's better than nothing. As to the hatchlings themselves... *shakes head*

The starlings that winter here haven't arrived yet. They roost in the pine trees in the church yard next door, then spend the majority of time here, stealing the dog's food, making a mess of their water bucket, and decimating the suet feeders.

The long tailed tits live in the car park opposite where Dave works. Still no starlings here. I wish the wagtails would move from our shops to our garden...plenty of food for them.

I cancelled my hospital appointment. Got one for June, lol. I'll get my bloods done at the surgery or bribe our phleb. They'll only adjust my thyroxine if the results indicate I'm at death's door. I should send Denise to collect your blood. She's a very good vampire. ;)

Good luck! I can't get my surgery to take blood, the nurse is very nice but hopeless. But then so is the Doctor. He couldn't even manage to take my blood pressure again today... why is he still using the old fashioned sleeve?

Omg...still using a mercury sphyg? Mercury ones were banned...like years ago.

They mustn't take blood much then. Denise is very practiced at her art. Can sniff out a vein at 50 yards, lol.
