small teaser ...
Nov. 4th, 2004 12:58 pmWhat did Jonathan see? He certainly did not see what he hoped he might. He did not seek to erase David's face by covering it with another's for they were nothing alike, Michael and David. Michael's face was square jawed where David had been pointed, and his hair was bright golden waves instead of a silvery river. The eyes were blue; clear and unwavering instead of mercurial honey, but Jonathan did not compare, not at first. At first he was simply talking, his eyes firmly on the table in front of him as he attempted to tell his tale without the shame and hurt within it, but as the other man skilfully drew him out, like a fisherman teases a trout from the reeds before gutting it and throwing it into the frying pan, Jonathan relaxed, and told more than he ever realised he did.
Due to yesterday's disruption I only managed 700 words yesterday and have to do over 2K today. argh....
