erastesGood grief.
It looks like one is 1. Not allowed to voice one's opinion on someone's writing and 2. Not allowed to critique without people jumping down your throat and 3. Not allowed to give one's opinion on that critique without said people jumping down throat!
It won't stop me from commenting on stuff like this, but it does make me want to go grrr at times. I've had bad reviews but the last thing I would do is 1. argue or 2. allow my friends list to argue on my behalf.
I think what annoyed me most is that the author - looking back over his/her fiction (and as I commented) - rarely thanks his/her fans for their kind comments but as soon as someone posts constructive critique she and others swarm in like anti-bodies!
*sigh*
